Hawaii is welcome travelers back starting October 15th
If Hawaii was in the plans for this year, now is the time to revisit, rebook, and get ready for that exotic vacation you very much deserve!
Taking things slow
Although the Hawaiian hospitality is in full-force, the country reopens with much caution. A pre-travel testing option allows travelers an alternative to the island’s 14-day quarantine. This quarantine was once mandatory for all visitors. Below is an outline of what you can now expect.
Traveling expectations
Once your Boston travel agent has plans in place, all individuals over 18 will register for the Safe Travels online program. From here, you may or may not undergo COVID-19 testing from approved facilities such as Quest Diagnostics, Walgreens, CVS Health, and others. If you choose to bypass the testing, you will be required to partake in a 14-day quarantine upon arrival.
However, a negative test result from a test performed no earlier than 72 hours before departure time is your alternative to quarantine. This result is then uploaded into your Safe Travels account. 24 hours before boarding your flight, you’ll again log into your account to complete a Travel Health Questionnaire and receive a QR Code.
Once you finally reach your Hawaiian destination, the QR Code will be scanned as well as a temperature check performed. If all is good – you’re off to enjoy the much-needed getaway we all deserve this year!!
