Here is part two of the Rhine Getaway river cruise.
Day Four
Wake up in Köblenz, Germany, for a walking tour. You’ll have the opportunity to choose an excursion to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress or Marksburg Castle.
Set sail to Rüdesheim in the afternoon after lunch on board. Use your free time after docking in Rüdesheim to peruse Drosselgasse, a tiny historic alleyway that is strictly pedestrian-only, or enjoy a glass of wine at one of the local restaurants! In the evening, you’ll have the choice of dining onboard or offshore before you set sail again at midnight!
Day Five
Have lunch onboard before your tour through Speyer, Germany, to visit the Speyer Cathedral. In the morning, you will have the option to take a full-day tour of Heidelberg and view the Neckar River Valley and the Heidelberg Castle. After that, peruse through Old Town and tour Speyer before you board your ship for the afternoon.
Day Six
Wake up in Kehl and enjoy a tour of Strasbourg, France, to view the European Parliament and inside the Notre Dame Cathedral. Enjoy the afternoon to savor the rest of the city, a melting pot between French and German cultures. Take part in an optional excursion for a wine tasting and tour of the Alsatian wine country or a full-day excursion of Strasbourg and sample endless varieties of Alsatian cuisine. Circle back onboard your ship for an evening dinner event: Taste of Germany.
Day Seven
Dock in scenic Breisach, full of mountain views covered in forests. Discover how the cuckoo clock and Black Forest Cake are made before boarding your ship for lunch. Take an optional excursion to see Colmar’s Renaissance and Gothic architecture or learn more about the history of World War II in Colmar.
Day Eight
Enjoy your last breakfast on board before you travel to the airport for your flight home. We also have the option to lengthen your stay with three nights in Lake Como or two nights in Basel or Lucerne!
